Born from personal experiences and the lessons of cinematic masters, On Fire ignites a story fueled by passion, courage, and uncompromising vision.
Inspired by real-life characters and events, as well as the artistry of Damien Chazelle’s passion, Jean-Luc Godard’s courage to think outside the box, Vince Gilligan’s avoidance of half measures, and Akira Kurosawa’s living, breathing camera, the film blends personal truth with cinematic homage.
Developed over seven months, the project spanned screenwriting, preproduction, production, and post-production phases. With a crew of 11, we brought the story to life during a four‑day shoot in the Montclair area, fostering a collaborative and creative energy throughout the process.
Since its completion, On Fire has been selected for the First-Time Sessions Filmmaker Festival and the Lift-Off Los Angeles Festival in 2022, affirming its resonance and craft within the independent short film circuit."
